Anthea Papista concentrates her practice in two complementary areas: family law and trust and estate litigation and administration.

Ms. Papista advises clients in complex and high net worth divorce matters that frequently involve business valuations, business and retirement asset division, as well as custody and parenting time disputes, will and trust contests, administration, and estate planning. As a certified mediator, she is frequently appointed to mediate trust and estate disputes and to serve as a “neutral” in trust and estate litigation.

Ms. Papista is an active elected member of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Council and serves as the Co-Chair and Co-Editor of the State Bar of Michigan’s Family Law Journal. She has lectured and written on many family law subjects, and has been recognized as a “Michigan Super Lawyer” in Family Law and Estate and Trusts, a “Top Lawyer” by DBusiness, a “Top Attorney” by Crain’s Detroit Business, and one of Hour Detroit’s “Top Women Attorneys.” She is also the Co-Editor of Michigan Family Law, published by LexisNexis.

Ms. Papista brings experience, a voice of reason, and creative solutions to litigation’s highly charged atmosphere and provides informed counsel on trust and estate matters.
